Helen O’Donnell

Helen is Head of Development for BBC Studios TalentWorks, building on her success in creating and launching new content with online creators. She is currently being mentored by Jay Hunt (Creative Director, Europe, Apple) as part of the annual Women in Film & TV Mentoring scheme.

She is an alumni of the Comedy Lab+ at Soho Theatre, and a Judge at the Final of the Amused Moose Laughter Awards (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014 & 2015), and works as the Staff Manager for Machynlleth Comedy Festival. Helen has trained under a wealth of improv giants from across the globe including David Shore (Second City), Alex Fernie & Lydia Hensler (UCB).

Helen co-hosts The TalentWorks Podcast, a popular media podcast speaking to top digital creators about their careers, creative process and thoughts on the future of online video.
